Review:
A few years after Supernatural is over, Jensen is almost out of money. When Jared asks him to act in his new movie, he can hardly say no. The fact that the two of them aren’t talking is hardly enough to make him turn down this big a part.
This is exactly the kind of story I like. The antagonism between the boys is palpable and the best part of it is the reader doesn’t know what happened to make them react this way. The whole thing is from Jensen’s POV, so you don’t get any real hints of what Jared’s feeling until the last few chapters. Chris Kane is great in this, supportive to Jensen and still such an ass to Jared.
The absolute best part of this story is the movie itself. It’s never fully fleshed out, but there are enough hints of what’s happening to thoroughly whet your appetite. Best of all, every scene they act out in the story has another meaning.
Only one thing to look out for: the author is a native of the UK, and while the accents didn’t throw me, some of the phrases within the story did. It’s nothing too extreme, but it’s certainly there.
