I finished this story feeling shocked. The a wonderful way! I don't know what I had expected, especially after reading the author's other story Getting There, but most definitely not this. As angsty as the story is, and I admit I was at least a little heartbroken, I still wouldn't call it "dark" because everything in it is...absolutely beautiful. James' growth professionally and as a person was exceptionally well done, and I'm very interested in seeing a sequel that would detail how much of James' adult personality was shaped by his relationship with Draco. (*I noticed one little inconsistency in the story, but if you don't find it, well, it's not going to affect your enjoyment of the story.*)

Leashy Bebes crafts some of the best characterizations of the next-gen characters. Even if you are not a Harry Potter fan, it'd be worth it to browse some of her stories. Highly recommended.
