You also have an interesting mystery when it comes to Blair's behavior; it was a bit jarring the first time I read this story, but during the re-read it made a lot of sense (and made me want to hug him to bits). Jim is also well-done; he's a bit gruff and no-nonsense, but he also knows that Blair is an employee and potentially a friend and he treats him with kindness and respect. John and Rodney crash land on a planet, discover that they like each other, and have lots and lots of sex.
As you can tell by the fact that the angst tag is used more than any other genre tag, I like angst. A lot. (As long as there's a happy ending, of course.) On the other hand, sometimes it's nice to take a break from all of the angst and just enjoy a nice fluffy romance, which is exactly what this story is. Boys having fun, lots of laughter, copious amounts of sex, and just a dash of emo to give the story a bit of flavor. Great for anyone looking for a light, fast, enjoyable read.
