Review:
This fic was written for a “The Day After Tomorrow” challenge, where authors were supposed to write about how the characters in their chosen fandoms dealt with the end of the world. Yahtzee’s choice of “Joan of Arcadia” – a series where the main character speaks directly to God was particularly powerful in this context, making the fic a worthwhile read even for those who (like me) are not very familiar with the fandoms involved.

There’s not much I can say that will manage to convey how heartbreakingly beautiful this story is. There's so much genuine feeling in everything: from how Joan copes – from anger to pain, despair and acceptance – to how her entire family deals with what’s happening and the painful decisions they’ll have to make. A wonderful story about choices, consequences, sacrifices and love.
