Review: 
Minako, the daughter of a wealthy tradesman, is escorted by a group of ninjas from her uncle’s house to her father’s and promptly falls in love with the blond, blue eyed-one. Their forbidden love, however, encounters some obstacles along the way (which include the schemes of the blonde’s team mates, though they are both oblivious to that).

Told from the point of view of an original character, “Love Songs and Ladies” is a fantastic parody of cheap harlequin romances. The (not so) beautiful maiden falls in love with a ninja, but has to deal with such obstacles as a love triangle (though not the one she imagines exist) and the tragic lives the ninjas live (beautifully exemplified by the ballads sang). A wonderfully written humorous take on impossible love stories.
