Review:  Bruno and Boots are off to college... different colleges.  Boots ends up rooming with some maniac, this guy who refers to everyone by last name, who speaks in the third person, and who is convinced that he, Jardine, is doomed to bad luck forever unless he goes to Theamelpos again.  Luckily for Boots' sanity, the two end up getting along, especially once they confide in each other about their poor love lives - Boots has it bad for a straight Bruno, and Jardine just got dumped by Delancey.  Little do they know that Delancey and Bruno have met, at their college, and are planning to visit. 

Anyone who has read either the Macdonald Hall series or A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag: stop reading my review and go read this fic, right now.  You won't regret it!   For everyone else, some of the jokes will be lost on you, but that's okay.  Every single character is so clearly themselves, it's as if Karma was secretly Gordon Korman, circa 1985.  You could truly begin your experience with Korman's work by reading this fic. 

The plot is interesting, and carried off with the customary Korman humor.  The cameos by other Korman characters are just wonderful, as well.  The two Korman universes overlap so well together, it's as if they were already the same one.  Honestly, I believe that this fic works perfectly as a canonical depiction of what Bruno, Boots, Jardine and Delancey would do and act like when they grew up.
