Review:
In many stories that deal with Tim Drake, his father is usually cast out as either a non-entity (as he was in canon for a long while, always on business trips and never interacting with his son) or as the villain who forces Tim to “retire” after he finds out about Robin, taking him away from his true friends and family.

“Heart, Humble” shows us a different story. Seeing the aftermath of the discovery of Tim’s secret from Jack Drake’s perspective, we are able to see his guilt at not having been a more constant presence in his son’s life, the pain he feels when he realizes he does not know his only child and the sheer terror he goes through every time he remembers that Tim could have died. Through his father’s eyes, we can also see how hard it is for Tim to stop being something he has trained and sacrificed so much for, and yet how much he tries for the sake of his family.

A truly wonderful fic from an incredibly gifted author.
