Shawn has a “quarter life crisis” and decides, with his newly acquired maturity (which, in his case, consists in holding a job for six months, not being evicted in eight  and having a steady income), to act on his crush on Carlton Lassiter.

“Quarter Life Crisis” is a fic about two very different people trying to build a serious relationship, stumbling through the expected pitfalls along the way. While it tries (and succeeds) to keep the lighthearted feeling of the show, it also manages to deal with some important issues that should not be forgotten: Shawn’s commitment issues, the fact that he has been lying to Carlton since the day they met and the possible impact their relationship could have on the Detective’s career. Add to that the great character interaction and you get a wonderful Psych fic.
