Review:
For those of you who weren't aware, Tira Nog (previously recced in the HP and Highlander fandoms) used to write fiction under the name of Rosemary, and some of her best stuff, in my opinion, was in the Starsky and Hutch fandom.
Home Front is a quiet, sweet get-together fic, very much focused on Starsky and Hutch rather than on any cases. It all starts when Hutch receives news that his grandmother - the only relative he genuinely cares for - has passed away, and the partners travel back to Minnesota for her funeral. At the same time, Starsky is grappling with his newly discovered feelings for Hutch.
Rosemary has a knack for sweet stories, relationship angst, and vulnerable characters, and this is a lovely example. It's just an all-around charming read - Starsky is a sweetheart, Hutch is vulnerable in a nice, understated way, and they even get together on Christmas. I admit, it makes my heart melt every time I reread it.
