A Smallville version of Overboard! Just in caseyou've been living under a rock for the last two decades and have never had access to TNT, TBS, or cable in general you aren't sure what that means, Clark is a small town handyman who rescues an amnesiac Lex from Lionel, who is clearly determined to see him institutionalized (as part of some complicated blackmail/extortion/controlling scheme, natch). To pull it off, Clark has to convince everyone, including Lex, that he and Lex are married. To each other. You can just imagine how well that goes.
This story isn't perfect -- frankly, I'm much more interested in what happens once the amnesia is gone than in what comes before and you don't get much of that in this story. What you *do* get, however, is some fantastically snarky Lex, who isn't going to let such a little thing as a complete loss of his memory keep him from taking charge of, well, everything. Add that to the mystery of what Lionel wants from Lex, the inherent relationship angst that comes from trying to convince a complete stranger that he's married to you (heh), and the way Lex wins over an entire town while Clark can only stand by and watch dumbfoundedly, and you have a story that can't help but make you smile.
