Review:
After a trip to LA, very strange, very dark, and very, *very* creepy things begin happening to Jim and Blair.

Snake Oil is, by far, the creepiest fanfic I have ever read. Martha does a brilliant job of building up suspense as she slowly reveals bits and pieces of Jim and Blair's trip to LA and the unexpected consequences of the trip. Her plot unfolds gradually and with an ever-increasing sense of doom and by the time I got to the reveal, my nerves were snapping. A perfect, haunting Halloween treat (that you should most definitely not read with the lights off).

mmph! ohjezusghod - i love this story! it's totally creepy and just completely draws you in. goose-bumps and shivers, it was awesome.

have you read 'Bag of Bones' (i think it's called)? i can't remember who wrote it, or if i'm conflating that one with this one, but it's equally deliciously creepy fun.

I don't think so -- is it Sentinel fic?

Actually, I bet this is more your type of fic than mine:) Enjoy!

Alas, I don't have time to read it today. There's grading that needs to be done. :(

It's been so long since I've read a story the same day I found it that the very idea has become novel to me. All hail Jane's completely incomprehensible downloading/reading/reccing system:)

Hey, I know this is an old rec, but I think this fic is more on the gen side than on the slash side? Admittedly, Jim and Blair are very close and handsy, but that's how they behave in the show... I kinda kept expecting the pairing to happen, and then it didn't... *sad face*

Otherwise, this is an amazing fic, thanks a lot for the rec! :)

Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I can't change anything in the rec without reread the fic, and it'll be a while before I get around to doing that. Still, there are many, many Sentinel fics on this comm where Jim and Blair do get together -- enjoy!

No problem, I understand :) And I'm currently going through your Sentinel recs, finding a lots of gems... thank you for the work you put in this community, it makes finding fics I like so much easier :)
