Review:
Letters play an important and at times crucial part in many of Jane Austen's works. Thus, epistolary week certainly calls for Austen fic!

"A Clandestine Correspondence" takes its premise from a passage in the last chapter of Northanger Abbey, where the narrator hints that Catherine and Henry exchanged letters during the time they were waiting for the General to change his mind and consent to their engagement (something that wasn’t exactly acceptable at the time). The story is told in a series of letters from Henry and Catherine where they talk about their fears and their dreams, from the most mundane of matters to the sweetest declarations of love.
