Post are going to start coming a little less frequently, as I'm running out of the really big fic that I've read and am now trying to find new stories to read (though, unfortunately, there's no way to avoid the fact that there is a limited supply of epic fanfic in the world).  Suggestions are always welcome, and I'll keep posting the Reader's Recs in the hopes of increasing my reccing pool.  In the meantime, I have a few recs saved and I'll be parceling them out over the next few weeks.  Enjoy!

Review:
So what do you once you've taken over virtually every legitimate and illegitimate business on Earth, become President of the United States, *and* fought your damn near invulnerable alien nemesis to a stalemate (which is the best you can do, since you really don't *want* to kill him)? Well, if you're Lex Luthor, you set your sights on the rest of the galaxy. And, of course, you kick its ass (though, it must be said, the rest of the galaxy is nasty enough to make Lex Luthor look a bleeding-heart liberal, so most of the plants he conquers *want* their asses kicked). And, of course, when your damn near invulnerable alien nemesis comes after you, you kidnap him for sex purposes. Why not? You've got an intergalactic fleet at your back and it's not like he's protesting very hard (or at all, really).

I love everything about this story, from the way Lex takes over the galaxy because he's bored, to the whacked-out traditional costumes he's forced to wear on each planet (bonus: an actual paper Lex doll *with alien clothing* is available with this story), but my absolute favorite aspect of this story is the Justice League. Batman is, as expected, awesome, but so are Diana (Wonder Woman) and John (the Green Lantern), both of whom have the thankless task of trying to get Clark to leave Lex and come back home. And Wally West (the Flash, voiced in the Cartoon Network version of JLA by Michael Rosenbaum, who plays Lex Luthor on Smallville) is hilarious, especially when he's paired with John. All in all, this story is a great way to pep up your day.
