Summary:
The first thing Stiles thinks when he opens the door is that it’s not his birthday, but someone has sent him some kind of cop stripper.

Review:
After returning home from college, Stiles meets his father's new deputy, Derek, who is intense, more than a little strange, and loves Stiles' cooking. Meanwhile, there is a string of strange attacks happening in town, Derek is insistent that Stiles stay in during the full moon, and soon an attack hits a little too close to home.

This is a wonderful AU that takes the quirky Stiles to mid-twenties, so a little older and a bit calmer than in canon. Derek is much better adjusted, in a world where his family moved away from Beacon Hills and are alive and thriving. The chemistry between Derek and Stiles is smokin' hot, and Stiles' perplexity with Derek's bizarre (werewolf) flirting is hilarious. What conclusion should he come to, with Derek's hot and cold behavior and weird sense of intimacy: obviously he grew up in a cult!

My response to this fic was just happy squeeing, it's so much fun (this is my reaction to many fics by [livejournal.com profile] thehoyden), with equal parts humor, romance and a smidgen of supernatural thriller.

“I really, really didn’t ask google the right questions,” Stiles says finally. It’s annoying, honestly — you think your research skills are top notch, pride yourself on your ability to analyze things, but then totally miss that your hot cop boyfriend is a werewolf.
