Jeeves is a marvel and there's no doubt that he pulls Bertie's bacon out of the fire on a remarkably frequent basis. On the other hand, Jeeves also can really hold a grudge (especially with regards to inappropriate neckwear) and has absolutely no qualms in humiliating Bertie to achieve his plans. Normally we don't mind because Bertie is so easy-going about it and because of the aforementioned bacon/fire rescues, but it is hard to believe that Bertie is completely oblivious to how he is treated.
I love this fic, because Bertie actually confronts Jeeves about their latest misadventure (which involved Bertie riding a bike ten miles in the middle of a rainy night to get a key that Jeeves already had in his possession) and while Jeeves doesn't quite apologize, he gets pretty close for Jeeves. If nothing else, it's nice to have someone acknowledge that while Jeeves is a marvel, he can also be kind of mean. Fortunately, he's also very capable of making things up to Bertie (because Jeeves is, after all, a *marvel*).

I think you'd really like PG Wodehouse's Jeeves stories. For one thing, they are definitely slashy (this is the only fandom I read where I honestly believe the creator intended to imply a homosexual relationship in canon). They're also universally entertaining in a light, fluffy sort of way. You can find two Jeeves books online here:

and here:

The first one (My Man Jeeves) is the more famous of the two, and the first one I read. I laughed the whole way through.
Does that help? :)
