Summary:
What happens when Ray leaves the reservation.

Review:
A great post-canon resolution story, taking up right as the film ends. Frustrated with what's happened and unable to get the media to pay attention, Ray quits the FBI, goes on a road trip (with Jimmy the dog), and ends up helping an elderly couple with renovating an old schoolhouse. Eventually, Walter shows up to find him, and a nudge from Grandfather.

The spare style of prose goes well with the characters and environment, with the west taking on a role of it's own. I've always loved this movie and these two characters, and the author really captures both their voices, and gives them a happy ending together.
