Review:
In which John and Matt have lead different lives, and yet are still the same people. When John meets Matt after happening upon the bar where Matt works, they click. After their brief conversation the first time, John finds himself returning several times, until they get together. What's great about the story is how in-character it feels. Despite the different circumstances, they still feel like John and Matt, witty banter and all.

My only complaint is that it's a relatively short story, which ends with them getting together romantically and sexily, and is further shortened by it's alternating points of view, in which their meetings are told first from one character's perspective and then the other's. While the plot isn't advanced, the varied perspectives make up for it. I would have loved more, to see how their lives would have gone from there, but it appears to the the only Die Hard story [livejournal.com profile] tyrical has written. But it stands alone very nicely. It's a fun little story about two men who meet by chance, have great chemistry, and get together.

They both laugh. "So, John. What brings you to these parts?"

Matt leans a bit forward while John answers: "I was nowhere near the neighborhood and thought I’d pop in."

Matt can’t help but smile wide. He knows he looks goofy like that but he can’t help it. He’s pleased that John stopped in to see him and he won’t hide it. "That’s pretty cool, John."

John grins, "I thought so too."
