Just a heads up -- I'll be offline for all of next week, so if you need to get in touch with me for any reason (*cough*DS fic?*cough*), be sure to do so before noon on Sunday.

Okay, I haven't actualy read this one yet, so this isn't so much a recomendation as a heads up. This was posted on the [livejournal.com profile] ds_noticeboard the other day, and at 775k, it's nice 'n long. It was written for [livejournal.com profile] ds_fang_or_fur, which is a com for Vampire, Warewolf, or other Supernatural stories set in the DS Universe. She has it up on her LJ, too, but at this length, I felt the website version was more managable.

Incase I don't have time to read it right away, I figured I could give it to you and if you rec it, then I'll find out if it's worth my time. ::big wink::

Now this is a trend I can get behind...any time you've got an epic length fic to try out, I'll be happy to oblige. (BTW, website links are *always* preferred to LJ links -- I tend to download fic to read for later, and it's much easier to do if I don't have to deal with multiple parts and/or LJ's formatting.)

This fic will get a rec, but you should know that it's only (heh) about 400 K long after you take out the atrocious formatting (I think she used word to convert it to HTML, *shudder*)

Thanks for the heads up!

::winces:: Oh, ouch. Word HTML is the worst. For that alone, it may be worth reading on LJ instead, which I hate. ::sighs:: Ah well, at least you give it a rec, so I'll get to it eventualy. ::G::

I made the mistake of trying to do a hack job on the HTML (essentially using a find and replace to remove the extraneous code). In retrospect, I probably should have just opened the file, cut and paste all of the text into a text file, and read from there. There isn't much in the way of italics or other formatting, so you won't miss out on much. Other than the crappy Word code, of course...
