Author's Summary: Jensen gets kidnapped.

Review:
Jared kidnaps Jensen to a remote cabin so that he has no one to rely on physically and emotionally but Jared.

This story has a fairly self-explanatory title, and what happens afterward was was not that difficult to imagine (it's a slash fic after all). But the twist at the end was what made this story perfect for me. Don't fret, THERE IS A HAPPY ENDING, for *almost* all parties concerned.

I think I would be quite horrified if this were to happen in real life, but since this is a story with two hot but imaginary guys, well... Despite the violence warning, the violence in the story is really minimal and non-gratuitous. Great characterizations, especially Jensen, who struggles with himself and eventually came up with the ultimate plan that will satisfy everyone.

Recommended to those not afraid to take a stroll on the dark side.

I'm so glad that you recommended this story. I just finished reading it and was blown away with what a good job the author did describing Jensen's decent into Stockholm Syndrome. I don't know if I could classify the ending as happy though, with Jensen's mind so messed up by the SS that he comes up with what he does. Still, it was an excellent story and well worth reading.

Yes, I agree with you completely -- the "happy ending" is dark and somewhat skewed. Almost everyone (i.e. Jared, Jensen's family, the unknowing fans, the police, etc.) is happy with the end result except for, well, pre-Stockholm-syndrome Jensen. Poor guy. :(

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

the first time I heard about the SS was over a decade ago, when watching Highlander (might be some ep with methos), so since then, I have been fascinated with it!
thanks for the rec, I will give this a try!

Wonderful rec! I read this one a few weeks ago and enjoyed it immensely, especially since there was a happy ending. My one and only complaint was that I wished the building of the SS had been a little more fleshed out but then the story might have been too dark for a lot of people. Anywho, I second this! :)
