Review:
After a Shuttlecraft accident strands him on an unknown planet with Tom Paris, Chakotay disabuses himself of the last of his preconceived notions about the helmsman as they build a life together.

While I'm definitely a fan of straightforward happy endings, what makes "The Stars Go Down" so memorable to me is its poignant and melancholic tone, contrasting Chakotay's resignation with the situation they find themselves in and Tom's need to keep trying to change it. A beautifully written character-driven piece.
