Author's Summary: Spock suffers from the severing of his engagement bond with T'Pring, and Things Go Awry.

Review:
Kirk and Spock accidentally bond after the destruction of the Vulcan homeworld. That's no big deal -- the bond increases their efficiency as a team and they've got two years to sever the bond before Spock hits Pon Farr.

I don't like Pon Farr stories in principle (the same goes for "aliens-made-them-do-it stories), but Future Bliss and Out of Time were surprisingly touching and are an excellent example of how wonderfully co-dependent Kirk and Spock are, in any universe.

There's also a prequel and a timestamp fic in the same 'verse (links can be found at the end of Future Bliss).

Thanks so much for the rec - I've just read the first fic and it was lovely. It's the first time I've read a Star Trek fic (of any kind) that I've really liked; though admittedly I haven't tried many.

Now I'd better read Out of Time :)

Thank you. I've been really excited about all the Star Trek TOS: Reboot fics that are coming out. You should definitely give the ST fandom a try. :)

Thanks! I just got back from seeing Star Trek XI for the second time. And while I'm still rooting for Spock Prime/nu!Kirk, Future Bliss has certainly swayed me to the possibility of nu!Kirk/nu!Spock.
