Review:
When Spike finally sits down and tell Buffy exactly what happened between Angelus and Xander all those years ago, things are not all glitter, gold, and good feelings. It's pain, humiliation, blood, and a screwed up possessive romance that's mostly twisted and a little bit lovely. You can't get a better combination with these two, as far as I'm concerned.

From beginning to end, Nexus makes us live through the memories of Angelus and Xander's relationship, from the horrific to the sublime, with very little mercy in the interim. You're forced to face the horrors - and the pleasures - that Xander faced at the hands of Angelus and struggle with the knowledge that even though things are undeniably dark and warped, with Angelus a psychotic killer and Xander his victim, they still manage to fall in love or, at least, a kind of love.
