Review:
Every once in a while we find some precious little gem of a fic that justifies us getting into a fandom in the first place. This is one of those.

Tsunade wants to name Naruto as her successor, but the council (Hyuuga Hiashi in particular) is against it. To undermine his chances, they start giving him responsibility over Konoha’s financial matters, waiting for him to fail spectacularly. Naruto proves, once again, why he is considered the “number one surprising ninja”.

The author’s summary states that “lots of people have postulated that Naruto's good at financial planning.” I hadn’t been one of those, but the way this is developed in the story makes perfect sense. I love the fact the author somehow managed to keep Naruto in character. He is neither a complete idiot, nor a hidden genius; he’s simply Naruto: an impulsive, kind-hearted braggart who never fails to surprise people with his talents and determination.
