Review:
I waffled over this one for a while, because while the plot is right out of Wodehouse and the voices are spot-on, the story kind of collapses in the middle and rushes to the end with unseemly (and unsatisfying) haste. And yet, the plot is *so* Wodehousian...
Bertie falls for a young woman (again), contemplates marriage (again), buys clothes Jeeves doesn't approve of (*again*), and does it all with the best Bertie voice I've ever read. He's witty and flighty and wonderful and it's not hard at all to see why Jeeves loves him (as do we). Plus, rushed as the ending is, there are a couple of lines that made me laugh out loud, which is enough cause for me to rec this fic. Oh, and there's an *awesome* OC, which is a statement I've never thought I'd make about a J&W fic.
So, I offer this story up for your perusal. What do you think? Too rushed, or just right? Personally, I quite enjoyed it, though (as usual) I wish it were longer.
