Review:
I love the Mummy II and whenever I'm able to find a story worth reading in this particular fandom it makes my day. Unfortunately the fandom is so small one barely realizes it exists at all. There are rare exceptions though and Khamira is one of them.
I already recced the super epis "No Certain Victory" back in February but now I'm back in time to Small Fandom week and I'm recommending the second story Khamira wrote. "The Falcon and the Dove" portrays the start and the development of the relationship between Ardeth and Jonathan. Jonathan who is shown as a kind of greedy but nevertheless kind part of the Mummy II gang is lovingly portrayed in the story where he not only finds courage but love with the help of the Medjai warrior.
I love the pacing of the plot, the portrayal of the characters, the perfect combination of canon and fanon and most of all Khamira's style of writing. If you liked "No Certain Victory", even if you didn't like it, I urge you to give "The Falcon and the Dove" a try.
