Review:
When I first, initially, started planning out this rec, I admit that this wasn't the story that I planned on recc'ing (I'll rec that one soon, I'm sure) but after reading this story all the way through (twice), I knew I had to rec it. It's just that good. Better even, when you consider that the characterization. Which is, incidentally, astoundingly good.

Not only that but, if fabulous characterization wasn't enough, the author has an excellent grasp of the EUReKA universe. Even when things get a little over the top (in a good way!), it's very easy to imagine every single thing that happens happening in the small town of Eureka. In all honesty, I'm hard pressed to say that this isn't exactly how it would go if Jack and Nathan ended up together.

While I admit that this story is riddled with angst and hurt/comfort (a bonus, IMO), it has a completely happy ending, so don't be deterred. It's entirely worth it. Especially since anything is possible in Eureka.

Oooh. I do not know this fandom, but I am seduced by the promise of long, hurt/comforty goodness (though I can tell after just the first page that I'm going to have to put this in a word file and search-replace Nathan's last name to something other than "Stark" before hard-core-comics-fangirl me can read it without the cognitive dissonance eating my brain - much the way I have to do for RPS, or that Professionals AU wherein Bodie was supposed to be an Arabian sheik who was still somehow named "Bodie," or any other fic where characters' names distract from the story).
