Review:
What starts out as a quiet trip to Jack's cabin turns into a journey of discovery and so much more for both Jack and Daniel.
The are a number of reasons why I love this story, the least of which has to do with the fact that this is one of the most relaxing stories I've read in the SG-1 fandom. Naturally paced all the way through, the relationship between Jack and Daniel is unhurried and, to my mind, completely realistic. Slow to build, this is one of those stories that doesn't ignore the fact that neither of these two are teenagers anymore nor does it ignore that these two can't just jump into bed together and have a good time. There's too much history between them for that. Too much...everything.
Even so, when these two finally do get together (which, in context, is inevitable), it's a slow quiet smolder that speaks of being partners for the rest of their lives. Something that both of these guys deserve in spades, in my opinion.

In *any* context, even. The J/D, long may it burn. *grin*

I totally agree! :D
I haven't read your rant on Daniel but he doesn't come off as a pompous ass in this story. Just a forty year old with a couple of degrees to his name and
MacGyvera colonel as his best friend. If you do read it, I hope you like it :)
