Summary:Most people never touch another person's soul...but when a 20 year old Leroy Jethro Gibbs meets an 8 year old Tony DiNozzo, it sparks an event that links them forever.
Review: This fic is dark, creepy, scary and sad by turns. A great treat for a stormy Halloween night. And it has a happy ending before you get too scared off.
If you're not familiar with Daemon AUs, Xanthe has a nice intro to them in the Author's notes at the beginning of the story.
This is an origin story for Tony and Jethro, following them from the time Tony is 8 years old, until a few years into canon. Xanthe as always, does an amazing job of questioning canon, and showing details that you never though about when you were first watching or reading canon.
For instance the question of what happens to a daemon, when their partner is so twisted that they start killing and torturing other daemons?

Post Obsession Conversation: Gibbs and Tony have a rather revealing conversation following the events of Obsession. Picks up from the end of the episode.
Figuring It Out: Gibbs and Tony try to figure out where their relationship is headed after the revelations in Gibbs' basement. The team helps. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious.
Second Law: Gibbs and Tony continue to settle in to their new relationship and try to balance all the different aspects of their lives. As before, the team helps. Sometimes funny, sometimes not.
Review:
Here is a very nice verse following the Obsession episode during season 4.
The first fic is a perfect following to this episode. Their conversation is amazing and really show the connection between Gibbs and DiNozzo.
The second and third stories follow their growing relationship and deal with their lives in private and in their workplace. The problems are clearly posed and the author never shy away from them.
I really loved the athmosphere of this verse. The whole NCIS cast is well crafted. And the charaters are very much in character.
The cas files are also very realistic and well-written.
It's trully a must read in the NCIS fandom.

He certainly did not expect to fall in love again.
Review: SQUEAL. SQUEAL. SQUEAL. I loved this story soooo much! It's a different take than what I'm used to seeing in CM fandom. For one, Aaron and Spencer already have a relationship albeit the one between Sentinel and their Guides but still. I love the fact that Spencer and Jack have such a strong relationship here! It's not often that there is an established relationship between them.
I can't say more without spoiling you so I'll end it here and allow you guys to read and love Life Changes for yourself. :)

When Tony is recovering from exposure to the plague, Gibbs finds out Tony has a most unusual friend. That friendship is just the nudge Gibbs needs to act on his feelings for Tony.
Review:
Here is a long fic centering on Gibbs and DiNozzo with a nice supernatural twist. I really like how KSL used both canon facts from the 2nd season and original ideas to develop their relationship.
The whole NCIS cast is clearly recognizable, KSL just gave them more depth. Ksl also introduced well-written OC when necessary. Sam, the main supernatural OC, never overwhelms the canonical characters and adds just so much more to this story.

Gibbs says his last goodbyes before sailing off into retirement.
Review:
I don't read a lot of angsty fics. So it was a bit hard to find a story I wanted to share so in doubt I went back to one of the best author I know for Angst/Drama stories aka Xanthe. And while most of her longger fics have already been recced here, there were a few I enjoyed reading specially "Sunrise". I must admit it's quite short, a bit less than 3000 words and not too angsty it still made me cry a little.
In this fic, Xanthe explore what could happen when Gibbs retires. Her use of Gibbs POV is very well-chosen. And I just love the glimpse it give us about all the other characters. The relationships between Gibbs and the other membres of the NCIS team are well-done. And as always I just can't help thinking I would have love to read more of this fic.

Waldo wrote here a wonderful story around Gibbs and DiNozzo. Gibbs realizations and actions are well-written and rang so true to his character. Tony is also very much true to his character in the show as both a competent and complex man.
The slow build-up of their relationship is just amazing. Waldo really built an amazing story with subtle layering and a working mature relationship between two adults.

Tony DiNozzo is a telepath. Gibbs hires him anyways.
Review:
In this story, chatona explores Gibbs and Di Nozzo's first meeting and the evolution of their relationships with a nice supernatural twist.
Even if this fic is not very long (I would have enjoyed reading more about Tony's talent and the way he uses it), the author shows both the usefulness and the difficulty of using telepathy in a very realistic way.
I also liked how Tony and Gibbs act with each other. Their developing relationship is well-thought and well-written for such a short story.
