Review:
Madeline Bassett (finally!) gets married and decides to have an Egyptian-themed reception. Surprisingly scantily-clad hijinks ensue.

Oh, this is just delightful. The writing style, the characterizations, and the plot are all spot-on (if just a bit racier than canon J&W) and Bertie's narrative voice is one of the best I've ever read. I especially loved poor Gussie and his engagement-killing newts of doom, though Madeline's Egyptian-fueled ex-fiance deballing is pretty awesome as well. Plus you have the sly hints at what may or may not be an established relationship between Bertie and Jeeves (in my latest reread I was leaning towards this being slash, but the time before that I was leaning more towards gen). A fantastic fic all around.
