Normally I try to stay true to the "epic" spirit of this comm, but I could not resist reccing this short little gem. I figured I could get away with it as a bonus rec at least.

Essentially it's an outsider's POV of the Illya and Napoleon's partnership, and considering what a brief snapshot it is, it perfectly encapsulates what makes these two men such wonderful partners. Illya's characterization is spot-on and the understanding and trust between him and Napoleon is vivid even to the OC's eyes.

It's a quick read, I know, but so utterly worth it - despite being several years old, I still remember and love it.
