Review:
When fate lands a handsome young lieutenant by the name of Aiden Ford in Daniel Jackson's path, they quickly learn that the road to perfection is usually filled with imperfection.

When you're dealing with the SG-1 and SGA fandoms, any pairing other than the two main staples tends to be a hard sell for most people. For me, that's definitely not the case, especially when it comes to these two stories. Perfect and it's sequel, Imperfect, are lovely examples of how a writer can take a rare pairing (I'm sorry but anything with Ford is automatically labeled rare to me) and make it work without sacrificing large chunks of character-canon to the fan fiction gods. By that I mean, of course, that despite the loving relationship brewing between Daniel and Aiden by the end of Perfection, Ford still goes to Atlantis. He doesn't stay behind, he goes and leaves Daniel behind knowing that he might well never see him again. And Daniel? Daniel lets him go because he understands that he has to.

Don't be fooled into thinking this all ends in tears, however, because Imperfect picks up the pieces with Atlantis finally being able to make contact with Earth and after that, anythings possible.
