Iruka, trying to avoid the advances of Mizuki, ends up having a one night stand with an anonymous Jounin he met at a bar. But the random encounter takes an interesting turn when Iruka is assigned by the Sandaime to be the contact for the same, still nameless ninja and they get more and more involved as time goes on.

I love the little details on this and how it blends the responsibilities of being a ninja with the feelings that come with being human and caring about people. It’s a beautifully crafted story that makes you understand why this paring can work so well.
