Review:
In a fandom as huge as Naruto (over 145,000 stories on fanfiction.net alone) even minor pairings seem to have huge followings. Kankuro/Tenten, however, is indeed a very rare pairing, which is a pity: if there's one thing this fic shows is that they can work very well together.

Some years after her humiliating defeat in the Chunnin exams, Tenten decides to challenge Temari once more. The one thing she wasn’t counting on was finding an obstacle in the middle of her way: Kankuro, who decides she’ll only get to fight Temari if she can get past him. Thus, they begin to fight night after night and soon their rivalry grows into friendship and their challenges into sparring matches. Neither one is quite ready to admit their feelings, till a certain incident changes things.

One nitpick I have with this story (besides some minor grammatical mistakes) is that it seriously underestimates the canonical distance between Konoha and Suna (a fact that is, I admit, integral for the plot to work). There are, however, many things I love: the interaction between the sand siblings, the banter between Tenten and Kankuro, the slow development of their relationship. This story certainly proves that two of the most neglected characters in Naruto deserve their change to shine.
