Review:
John Sheppard: charming, sly, good with ladies, great with guns. Deadly enemy. Shameless womanizer. Intergalactic spy. Sort of. Also, one of my least favorite characters of all time, so if I'm reccing a vid that's *all about him*, you know it must be good.
Part of my love for this vid comes from the music: I have a tremendous weakness for all of the James Bond theme songs, but a particular passion for the original theme. Just hearing the music makes me happy.
Even better, however, is how brilliantly conceived this vid is. Virtually every scene is one of the iconoclastic Bond moments, from the mysterious spy looking down on the care-free, frolicking, half-naked (of course) ladies, to the Mexican standoff against all odds, to Bond's amazing ability to do...well, everything, to the moment when Bond runs through a guantlet of machine-gun toting henchment (and escaping unscathed, natch), to the inevitable makeout session with the Bond girl (Elizabeth, heh). Most of the time, even the *camera work* is eerily reminiscent of a Bond movie. I spent most of this vid flailing in glee over the similarities to actual Bond canon and the rest thinking that I'd really like to see this Bond movie if it ever came out.
A perfect vid for fans of Stargate: Atlantis, James Bond, or, you know, sheer awesomeness.
