Review:
For those who don't know, Community is a show on NBC about a disbarred lawyer and his zany community college friends as they go off on misadventures and generally fail to learn a lesson (though not for a lack of trying). It is genre-parodying, zinger-slinging, fourth-wall-breaking, feel-good-making fun, and boasts quite a cast, including Joel McHale (E's The Soup), Ken Jeong (The Hangover), derrickcomedy's Donald Glover, and Chevy Chase. Shannanagin does a wonderful job capturing both the atmosphere and chemistry that Jeff and Annie have between them in this fic. She creates a feeling of slow-burning, long-lasting love between the two, and takes a lot of care to keep them true to canon. Jeff is smarmy and self-absorbed, Annie is naive and a little neurotic, and their relationships with the rest of the group are as important to them as their relationship with each other. I know that it might not sound very important, but I've always disliked it when a couple in a story don't have a life outside each other unless the relationship was supposed to be dysfunctional.
