I love zombie stories, of every shape and size, but I have a particular penchant for the stories that show the slow creeping horror of the survivors who get used to a world made up of prey and predator, with only hints of civilization in sight.

The fact that the main characters of this story are Edmund and Susan, a King and Queen of Narnia, only adds to the quiet desperation this fic exudes. They know how to live in an uncivilized and unfair world, they've experienced it all before, and they believe they deserve it because they betrayed Aslan and Narnia.

The author wrote this fic as incest, but the snippet of this world that is shown, is about family, not romance, so it's easy to ignore any incestuous overtones. The first time I read through the story I didn't even realize it was supposed to be incest. Still if you're particularly sensitive to ambiguous sibling relationships this story probably isn't for you.
