Sokolov still doesn't have the Outsider's attention - but the being quietly and viciously begins letting him know he's watching.

Review:
A darkly funny little look at poor Sokolov and his endless quest for recognition from the Outsider. His attempts to make himself interesting remain predictable. They bring him ridicule rather than true attention from the Outsider, who proceeds to make fun of him and creep him out by turns. It's nice to read a fic where the Outsider is wholly IC, and as amoral and alien as that implies.
