It's not Duo's average Friday night. Usually, he doesn't have anyone to talk to, and he shouldn't, seeing how he works at East Central City Morgue.

Review:
Duo, a mortician working the graveyard (hah) shift, comes across a dead body... that isn't quite dead. It's a cool premise for a deliciously creepy little Heero/Duo fic. The author has really done a great job creating a horror movie atmosphere; every scene takes place at night, or in a storm at night, or in dingy little apartments that never see the sunlight. This, the authors mastery of description, and the fact that it all happens over the same night, give this fic a dreamlike - or nightmarish - quality that really suits its creepy overtones.

Every character seems a little off, with Duo driven slightly insane by his work, and Heero the socially awkward character we know and love with an extra dose of supernatural creepiness. Their interactions are both cute and creepy, as a self-hating Heero fights his nature and Duo, exasperated and scared by turns, befriends him through pure brute force. There are also great moments of dark humour and even some sweetness, nicely offset by the horror movie style of the setting.
