Author's Summary:
It's remarkably difficult to entice new soldiers to their just and righteous cause of mutant supremacy when the only thing the potential recruits can think throughout the course of the conversation is, "I'm just not sure I can follow somebody who wears a silly cape – oh, shit, I hope the telepath didn't hear that."
Review:
The Brotherhood try to convince Erik to alter his deplorable new fashion sense.
Both a meta-commentary on Erik's fashion at the end of XMFC and in comics canon, as well as a fun and silly inside view of the Brotherhood as it comes together and tries to recruit new members.
ignipes brings an extra dimension to Emma Frost, with a wickedly clever Emma POV, and fleshes out the other Brotherhood members.
The best parts are, of course, the various methods that Emma, Raven and the others try to use to convince Erik that perhaps a purple outfit and cape are not the best clothes to wear when trying to be taken seriously.
