Review:
When the original John Sheppard dies, Rodney uses a quantum mirror to go shopping for a new Sheppard.

Generally speaking, I find that quantum mirror/universe swapping fic is very hit or miss -- either it's a huge hit or a huge miss. Fortunately Madison nails this one right out of the park. AU!John (aka Jay) is a fantastic character, just enough off from the original Sheppard to be utterly fascinating. Rodney is great as well: shattered by John's death and obsessed with the mirror, he decides on his outrageous plan and bulldozes everyone to make it happen. Best of all, however, are Jay's interactions with John's tight-knit team and the way he slowly finds his own place in Atlantis.

Overall, this is a great AU that combines the best of team-building fic with plenty of angst an intriguing look at John's character.
