Review:
After the events of the movie, Spock goes back to New Vulcan rather than joining the crew of the Enterprise. Five years later, Kirk runs into him again on Earth, only to discover that in the intervening years Spock had somehow ended up living on the streets.

I'm a sucker for homeless!fic for the same reasons I enjoy marriage of convenience fic: the inherent trust issues really speak to me and I love seeing two (relative) strangers interacting in close proximity and learning to adapt to each other. Both of those elements are heightened in this fic due to the fact that both Kirk and Spock are quite emotionally vulnerable, albeit for very different reasons. Mix in lots of great Spock Prime and Bones interactions as well as a very enjoyable appearance by Winona Kirk and you have a long, very satisfying novel.
