Review:
Alice undertakes a journey at the end of the movie and on the boat she find herself thrown together with a sailor who looks and acts suspiciously like a certain maker of hats. All of Underland seems determined to make sure Alice finds happiness with this sailor but for her part, Alice has never been one to accept a substitution.

This is the first fic I read in the Burton's Alice in Wonderland fandom and thus far it's by far the best. The writing is lyrical and very reminiscent of the movie, Alice is beautifully in character, the voices of all of the other characters (which include cameos from just about everyone on the side of good) are spectacularly done, and the premise is perfect. A lovely tale of Alice finding herself and deciding exactly what (and who) she wants.
