Review:
I admit, this one is a bit of an indulgence simply because I adore Mickey and think he doesn't get enough love. This story is an AU that takes the tack of what if Reinette had made it onto the TARDIS and joined the Doctor, Rose, and Mickey? It's a lovely character piece that catches the nuances of the tangle of relationships the four have. Mickey is spot on as the everyday boy next door doing what he can and Reinette is insightful particularly about understanding others' hearts. Amazingly enough, the connection the two develop despite being a modern Londoner and the Madame de Pompadour, both of whom also have feelings for another, really works.
