Review:
Flu season hits Princeton-Plainsboro hard this year. Only House isn't sure that it really is the flu.
This reads just like a sweeps episode of the show, only with some House/Wilson smut mixed in. The diagnosis, development, and containment of the disease is fascinating and sounds authentic and the characterization of House is brilliant (albeit based on the first season or two, when he was written as an asshole with potential to be better, rather than just an asshole). Wilson is also fantastic, managing to be likable even if he is cheating on his wife. And his girlfriend. And House. And while the rest of the cast doesn't have as much screen time, when they do appear they are so in character that it sounds like they stepped right out of the television. I would have liked the story to be longer, but the story as it stands is a fantastic read. If only the show was still this good...
