Title: Save The Unicorn
Fandom: American Idol
Pairing: Adam/Kris
Categories: AU, Fluff, Romance
Length: Epic (55,000)
Warnings: Unicorns as extinct Animals; Unicorn poaching

Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] aramuin
Website: Arasigryn's Ao3 page

Summary: Adam always wanted to be a rockstar. Being the poster-child for unicorn conservation, the top trending scandal on Twitter and a wanted federal fugitive? That wasn't ever meant to be part of of the plan but when Adam finds a baby unicorn hiding behind a dumpster one night, his life is never ever the same again.

Review: This is a hillarious and awesome story with plenty of world building to offset the cracky premisis. Adam's voice is spot-on. Kris is too adorable for words and all of the secondary characters just make it better.

Kris is the center of Adam's world throughout the story and while the ending felt a little rushed to me, it give a nice romantic ending to the story.

summary: "What the hell is this, an Austen novel?"

Review:
Having taken some English lit classes myself during my stint at university, I love reading about professors and students and TAs. I reminds of the good old days. ;) I especially love the portrayal of Ray and Fraser in this take on an alternative academic setting. The characters are spot on and so endearingly real that it makes you fall in love with them reading this story.

The Hoyden always writes great stories but this one is particularly dear to me. An amazing story from a great writer.
