Review:
Far into an AU future, Charles and Erik are the leaders of the mutant nation of Genosha, held in awe by many and icons in their own time. To their friends and family, they're two grumpy old men, still completely in love, dealing with kids these days (fashion! Erik is an "epic troll"), the hated internet, a nasty bout with the flu and arguments over toothpaste tubes.
The story itself, with vignettes of their day-to-day lives is framed between sections of a retrospective magazine article about their relationship over the years, with a fresh outsider perspective of the AU world the author has constructed.
I love this happy future for Charles and Erik. They're together, they have their families with them, they're some of the most powerful men in the world, they're still themselves...and they're hilarious.
