What makes this fic unique amongst the majority of dark!fic is there are real consequences to the horrific trauma. The symptoms aren't brushed away by a cup of tea, a hot shower and an intense crying jag. It's much more inline with what would actually happen to a person that endured that kind of torture. That said, there are a few bright spots in the story, it's not all horror and torture, but the happiness comes at a price.
