Arthur's twin brother has disappeared, and while Tom doesn't have any enemies, Arthur certainly does. Rushing back to LA, Arthur, with the help of Eames and Autumn embark on an investigation to figure out what has happened to Tom before it's too late. It's also early in Arthur and Eames' relationship, and Eames gets to see a new side of Arthur as he finds out about his family.

The two fandoms are integrated cleverly, and while Inception is the focus, the (500) Days of Summer characters are given plenty of attention and really fleshed out, particularly Tom's girlfriend Autumn and his sister Rachel. I also really liked the cameo by Saito, who is very much in character and in charge.

A very suspenseful story as Arthur and Eames run around the LA area working every angle to track down Tom and the villains, with all the hallmarks of a good dream-heist and fun insights into the all the characters. The sequel is a brief follow-up, in which Tom joins Arthur, Eames and Cobb during a job. It's a fun little capper to the first story.
