Summary:Detective Brad Colbert meets ME Nate Fick on a Tuesday and he doesn't hate him on sight. It goes from there. A Rizzoli&Isles AU
Review:
I like this story and its satisfying, unrushed pace. The GK characters fit seamlessly into the world of law enforcement while still retaining their characterizations, their unsentimental attitudes and, of course, their “unique” way with language. I’m a huge fan of slow burn and eventual realizations of love and affection and the author does a great job relating Brad's fascination and realization of how he feels about Nate without any unnecessary sap. I greatly enjoyed how Nate seems inscrutable from Brad’s point of view but appears, to the reader, to be dropping these little clues about his interest in Brad. No Generation Kill story would be complete without the supporting cast and they’re all great but none is greater than Ray Person in all his crude glory.
