Summary: To touch another's daemon is to touch another's soul. It is the greatest act of intimacy in this life.

Review: In flight school, people thought he was Nesasine. In the SGC they thought he was a refuge from another deminsion. In reality he's a man who is fiercely protective of his daemon and his family.

This story spans the first four and a little seasons of Stargate Atlantis. Showing glimpses of how the series would have played out differently if the characters had daemons. Despite the introduction of secondary manifestations of all the main characters, everyone is surprisingly in character. From John and his mile wide self-sacrificing streak to Teyla and her pain over what the Wraith did to her.

The team dynamic is strongly highlighted and the story is fast and engaging and while I would have liked to see more character growth in each of the team-members, the use of the team dynamic to define the characters is effective and interesting.
